How We Build
Building a custom home is a big decision — the process shouldn't be a mystery. Here's exactly what happens between "we're thinking about it" and getting your keys.
We meet on your land — or help you find some. We'll talk about what you're picturing, walk the ground together, and be honest about budget from minute one. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you. No charge, no pressure, no follow-up sequence blowing up your phone.
We work through your floor plan, your finishes, and your site together. You can bring a plan you love or start from scratch with us. At the end you get one fixed price — not an estimate that grows, not a base price with surprise allowances. You'll know what your home costs before we ever break ground.
The founder is on your jobsite, not in an office across town. You get progress photos, straight answers, and a direct line the whole way through. Weather and site conditions can move timelines — when they do, you hear it from us first, with a plan.
Before keys, we walk every inch of the home together and fix anything that isn't right. Then we stand behind the home after you're living in it — because a Legacy home is supposed to outlast us both.
What Makes It Different
You call, the builder answers. No project coordinators, no ticket systems, no "let me check with the site super."
We'd rather lose a project being honest about cost than win one with a lowball that grows every month.
Amish hand-built cabinets, real timber, quality fixtures — the things most builders call "upgrades" are just how we build.

Common Questions
Most of our homes take 6 to 9 months from breaking ground to keys, plus the design phase up front. Site conditions, weather, and how quickly selections get made all play a part — we'll give you a real timeline for your specific build before we start.
Yes — that's most of what we do. Acreage, infill lots, family land: we'll walk it with you and flag anything that affects cost (access, utilities, soil, slope) before you commit to anything.
We help with that too. We know the Dayton, Cincinnati, and Adams/Brown county markets and can help you evaluate lots before you buy — so you don't buy a cheap lot that costs $60k to prep.
Absolutely. Bring a plan you've bought, a Pinterest board, or a napkin sketch. We'll adapt it to your lot and budget, or design from scratch together.
Most families use a construction loan: the bank pays us in draws as stages of the home are completed, then the loan converts to a normal mortgage when you move in. We walk you through the whole thing — see our Pricing & Financing page.
You call us and we make it right. We stand behind our homes after closing — warranty specifics are spelled out in your contract so there's nothing fuzzy about it.
